I’ve been asking around, and it seems that Cannondale mountain bikes are very popular with both casual and serious bikers alike. This manufacturer is known for making high-quality, affordable products that deliver excellent performance on any kind of terrain. A lot of bike shops in my area stock Cannondale mountain bikes, so I’m planning to go in and look at a few next weekend. In the meantime, I might as well do some preliminary research online to get a feel for the features and prices.

I have to admit that I was surprised at just how many different Cannondale mountain bikes are available. I was expecting a few different models at the most, but there around 10 to choose from. I never realized that there could be so many differences from one bike to another, which I guess shows just how much I have to learn. Some of the models, such as those in the Hardtail and XC Racing series, can be eliminated from contention right from the start. There’s no way I need anything as fancy or high-tech as those Cannondale mountain bikes at this point. It’s not as though I’m going to be lining up for a race anytime soon; I simply want something to help make getting in shape a bit more fun.

I think the Rize series is better suited to my needs. There are five different models in this line, though my inexperienced eye can’t really tell one from another yet. At any rate, these Rize Cannondale mountain bikes are described as “premium” pieces of equipment for riders who are more interested in fun riding than serious training or racing. Since that pretty much sums up what I want, I’ll be sure to ask the guys at the shop about this series in particular.

So far, I like what I’ve been reading about Cannondale mountain bikes. They’ve gotten very good reviews from both experts and casual users alike, and are very reasonably priced considering the quality and performance levels. I can’t wait to buy one of these and start riding myself into shape!
